Part-Time Handyperson/Painter

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and versatile Handyperson/Painter to join our maintenance team in Novotel York.

In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of maintenance tasks, with a primary focus on painting and general repairs. The ideal candidate will be detail‑oriented, efficient, and able to handle diverse maintenance challenges.

• Perform high-quality painting work on interior and exterior surfaces
• Execute general maintenance and repair tasks, including basic carpentry and plumbing
• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and applying primer
• Mix and match paint colors to meet specific requirements
• Maintain and organize tools and equipment
• Identify and report any major maintenance issues to management
• Adhere to safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment
• Respond to maintenance requests in a timely and professional manner
