Pastoral Officer

Job description

The Pastoral Lead Officer plays a key role alongside the Head of Year in promoting a positive
school culture, fostering high expectations and ensuring that students feel safe, supported and able to
thrive.
To promote and model the school’s values (aspiration, confidence, kindness, responsible, respect and
resilience) whilst creating a strong sense of identity, inclusion and belonging within the year group.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
Safeguarding
* Identify and support students at risk of harm, ensuring timely referrals to the Safeguarding Team
and external agencies where necessary.
* Work closely with the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL) to ensure safeguarding concerns are
addressed effectively.
* Promote a culture of safeguarding, ensuring students feel confident in reporting concerns.
