Job Description
The Seat Trim Engineer has full ownership and technical responsibility for all seat trim variants within a vehicle program. This role involves leading the design and release of trim components, working closely with materials such as leather, textiles, and stitching processes.
The position requires strong cross‑functional coordination with purchasing, finance, and manufacturing teams, as well as continuous interaction with global materials and engineering organizations to ensure compliance with standards, processes, and new technologies.
Responsibilities- Design and release seat trim components (leather, fabric, stitching, etc.).
- Manage and control trim system costs.
- Lead technical and commercial discussions with suppliers.
- Ensure program milestone compliance (GPDS).
- Coordinate with seat system engineering teams.
- Manage BOM (Bill of Materials), tracking, and release activities.
