Permit Technician

Cheshire East Highways is responsible for managing over 2700km of highway network. Our aim is to deliver the highest possible standard of highway service throughout the Cheshire East area and deliver value for money to the residents and businesses.

The Role

• To perform the duties of a Permit Technician associated with Statutory & Private Undertakers and Cheshire East highway works under the New Roads and Street Works Act 1991 (NRSWA), Traffic Management Act 2004 (TMA), and the Highway Maintenance Act 1980.
• To co‑ordinate, prioritise and regulate all activities within a defined area of responsibility across the highway network with a view to discharging all network management duties and ensuring the protection of the integrity of the street.
