Pharmacy Tech II/Pharmacy/Per Diem Days (Hiring Immediately)

POSITION SUMMARY
DEFINITION
Under the general direction of the registered Staff Pharmacist, to perform specialized clerical work in the preparation of prescriptions and other medications for inpatients and outpatients; maintain comprehensive patient medication files; work with and assist pharmacist in the maintenance and manufacture of routine intravenous solutions and special solutions as requested by physicians; and does other related work as required.
CLASS CHARACTERISTICS
This is the full journey level class within the Pharmacy Technician series. Employees within this class are distinguished from the Pharmacy Technician I by the performance of the full range of duties as assigned including the ability to work independently, exercising judgment, performing related purchasing and receiving/storing duties, and initiative to a specific assignment.
