PhD student numerical analysis, two-phase flow, high-order discretization
Background
The research in the Computational Mathematics group is inspired by real life applications. The topics addressed here appear as mathematical models in energy, environmental engineering, aerodynamics, biosystems, geochemistry or physics, and include processes like flow or reactive transport. The development of accurate mathematical models and of efficient numerical discretisation/linearisation schemes, relying on mathematically rigorous arguments, is one of the key research topics in the group.
Job content
As a doctoral fellow, you conduct research in the field of mathematical modelling and numerical methods for two-phase flow. You write and publish research articles, contribute to national and international conferences and build an international network. You conduct your research under the guidance of an international team with the aim of obtaining a PhD.
