Summary The Pipefitter positions are located at the Bath VA Medical Center in Bath, NY(VISN-2). The position of Pipefitter, modifies, maintains and repairs a variety of high, medium and low pressure piping systems. Responsibilities Inspecting, adjusting, cleaning, repairing plumbing fixtures and systems, steam operated equipment, heating and water systems, kitchen and laundry equipment, air compressors, medical compressed air systems, vacuum systems, oxygen systems and natural gas distribution systems. Making safety and preventive maintenance inspections of utility systems. Applying accepted steam fitting and pipefitting trade methods and techniques to solve issues that arise on site. Conducting preventive maintenance activities on steam fitting and plumbing equipment throughout a health care facility. Interpreting and apply building plans and blueprints.
