Job Description (Duties)

Work assignments may take place at various industrial sites across Alberta. Transportation or LOA (Living Out Allowance) may be provided depending on project requirements.

Pipefitters at AG&P Canada will:

  • Lay out, assemble, fabricate, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair piping systems carrying water, steam, chemicals, and/or fuel in heating, cooling, lubricating, and other process piping systems
  • Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, and specifications to determine layout and installation requirements
  • Cut openings in walls, floors, and ceilings to install piping systems
  • Select appropriate materials, sizes, and fittings based on project requirements
  • Measure, cut, thread, and bend pipe to required shape using hand and power tools
