Job Overview
Strathcona Resources Ltd. (Calgary, Alberta) is hiring an experienced Plant Operator to join the Operations Team at the Lindbergh SAGD facility. The role reports to the Shift Engineer and requires full working knowledge of safety procedures, plant equipment, and plant operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensure compliance with Strathcona's Health, Safety and Environment and Regulatory (HSER) policies.
- Provide creative solutions and effective problem solving of issues that arise within the plant environment (troubleshooting, flagging deficiencies, recommending changes).
- Focus on safety, environment, and health of employees while maximizing plant production.
- Review, revise, and write Operations Procedures.
- Report deficiencies, initiate MOCs, and enter work orders.
- Notify leadership of emergency/upset situations impacting the facility.
