Postdoctoral Research Associate - Applied Mathematics

The Baylor Mathematics Department is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate to work on an NSF-funded project focused on the Irksome project (), a high-level, Firedrake-based software package for time-stepping finite element discretizations of partial differential equations. The postdoctoral researcher will work with the principal investigator, Dr Robert Kirby, and a team of students seeking to develop new features within Irksome.

A . in applied mathematics, computer/computational science, or a related discipline and knowledge of finite element methods and scientific computing is required. Prior experience with high-level finite element packages such as FEniCS or Firedrake will be especially helpful.

This assignment is for one year, with the possibility of renewal.
