Poultry Caretaker

Job Details: This role is a member of the production team at Barn Farm. The team has nine members and follows a six‑day on, two‑day off shift pattern. The role reports to the Facility Manager and works closely with the Team Lead.

The production team is responsible for ensuring the premium breeding stock are well maintained and produce a good standard of high‑quality eggs for hatching purposes. You will manage the health and welfare of a large number of birds, ensuring they are fed, watered and live in a clean and healthy environment. You will also collect high‑quality hatching eggs daily.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Ensuring that stock has ready access to fresh water and a diet to maintain full health and vigor.
• Ensuring that stock has an appropriate environment including good ventilation and a comfortable resting area.
