Prep Cook
Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory is seeking an individual for the position of Prep Cook. The responsibilities of the Prep Cook will include preparing food as directed by the chef and cook staff, making sandwiches and salads and maintaining sanitary procedures in the kitchen and food storage areas.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare hot & cold food as directed by chef(s)
- Making sandwiches and salads as directed by chef(s)
- Follow proper sanitation procedures.
- Provides support to the chef(s)which involves:
- Providing project information as needed.
Position Requirements:
Education : High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: One-year cooking experience in restaurant, catering, or hotel preferred.
Knowledge/Skills:
- Knife Skills
- Basic equipment operation & safe handling practices
