Prevention Officer

3 Month Contract With A local Authority Job Purpose To undertake assessments of children and young people referred to the Youth Justice Service (YJS) Prevention Team and deliver targeted interventions that reduce the risk of offending, re-offending, and anti-social behaviour. The postholder will work collaboratively with young people, families, and partner agencies to promote positive outcomes through restorative and preventative approaches. Key Responsibilities Undertake assessments of children and young people referred to the Youth Justice Service Prevention Team. Develop, deliver, and review targeted intervention plans aimed at reducing offending, re-offending, and anti-social behaviour. Build positive and effective relationships with children, young people, and their families to encourage engagement and support positive behavioural change.
