Production Support Engineer
Job Introduction
The Production Support Engineer supports production teams in delivering first‑time fixes through the interrogation and analysis of train data systems, including EMS, Rtd, Rcm and OTMR. The role provides technical support by capturing and analysing defects as they are reported, helping to reduce incidents arising from maintenance activities. Working closely with Technical Services and the Performance Team, the engineer identifies root causes and implements effective corrective actions, including briefings, process improvements, best practices and development of fault‑finding guides.
The engineer coaches and mentors engineers in advanced fault‑finding techniques, supports rectification of technically challenging faults and monitors unit performance for up to six days following repair to ensure fault‑free operation.
