Position Summary:Oversees the day-to-day manufacturing operations performed on a shift or production line, ensuring safety, volume, quality, and cost goals are met.Provides hiring, promotion, and disciplinary recommendations, as well as performance appraisal and feedback for direct reports.Coordinates and directs the activities of the production department on a daily basis to maximize productivity and minimize costs while maintaining quality.Ensures that all security procedures are followed and metrics are met.Investigates, troubleshoots, and provides solutions to production problems.Provides direct supervision and training for production workers.It helps plan, prioritize, and manage production line maintenance or downtime to minimize disruptions to manufacturing schedules.Inspect the product to verify that production specifications are met.Main responsibilities:- Ensure personnel wear PPE and follow safety rules as well as operating instructions for assigned equipment.
