• As a Regional Local Projects Liaison, conduct project management of design and construction of local surface transportation projects in coordination with project sponsors, in conformance with the Local Projects Manual, Federal highway Administration guidance and regulations, and Local Programs Bureau guidance on State aid projects. Responsibilities include managing projects from initiation, state-local agreements, through preliminary design, environmental determinations, right-of-way, final design, letting and award, construction reimbursements, civil rights, and close-out.
• Manage project costs and schedules on the Capital Program in coordination with local project sponsors.
• Proactively coordinate and communicate project status, changes, risks, and conflicts within the Department, and with outside agencies, local officials, consultants, contractors, the public, and interested parties as appropriate.
