Quantity Surveyor

Duties and Responsibilities: Prepare Bill of Quantities with measured rates Provide estimates and tenders for contracts Build up and maintain rates in estimating program Track and monitor subcontractor claims and payments Negotiate prices with suppliers Construction Staff management Financial control of contracts Review of actual vs allowable on projects Process invoices and compile supporting documents for payments Manage retention Manage variations and have all approved in writing before work commences Manage subcontractors, from comparing rates/quotes, sending letters of appointment, ensuring work is completed, invoices are submitted to the accounts team with supporting documents Updating the live bills for each project Managing budgets and ensuring projects are completed within their allocated budgets Ensuring projects meet quality standards Ensuring projects are completed within the construction programme for the relevant project Follow building regulations with regards to health ...
