Recreation Assistant (Lifeguard)

Summary About the position: This position will be assigned to the Ebbing Air National Guard Base in Fort Smith, Arkansas - Outdoor Recreation Pool. THIS IS A SUMMER POSITION NOT TO EXCEED THE DATE OF October 1, 2026. Note for Applicants: Your application will be reviewed on the following dates: 6/1, 6/8, 6/15 Responsibilities Instructs patrons on rules and procedures for safe swimming. Continuously observes swimming area to ensure safety of patrons and enforces pool rules with customers. Rescues swimmers in trouble, promptly administers first aid, CPR, and calls for medical assistance when and if needed. Warns swimmers of unsafe environmental or health conditions, inclement weather conditions, and closes pool until safe conditions prevail. May operate water pumps and control chemical additives to ensure pool water meets specified standards.
