Position: Registered Nurse – Birth Unit (Halifax, Nova Scotia)
Overview
Reporting to the Manager of the Birth Unit, the Registered Nurse is responsible for applying current theory and research to deliver family‑centered nursing care to intra‑partum clients and newborns in the Birth Unit, in alignment with IWK Health’s mission and vision.
Hours of Work
11.25‑hour rotating shifts (0700‑1900, 1900‑0700)
Union Status
NSNU Nursing, Nursing Bargaining Unit
Salary
$40.55–$51.74 per hour

Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required (equivalent experience and education considered).
- Registered, or eligible to be registered, with the Nova Scotia College of Nursing (NSCN) required.
- Recent Birth Unit experience an asset.
