Job Description

CCC-7 is a 25 bed unit that provides support to clients who are 18+ experiencing the acute phase of a mental and/or addictions disorder. As a member of the inter‑professional team, you will provide holistic client‑centred psychiatric nursing care. You will be able to work with clients from diverse populations; contribute to program development; participate in reflective practice sessions; facilitate group programming on the unit; provide mentorship and supervision to students and participate in the research activities for the program.

• Demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, families and the interdisciplinary team
• Demonstrate competency in monitoring, assessment and documentation for mental health and substance‑related disorders, trauma‑responsive behaviours, mental status and physical health assessments, and client response to pharmaceutical interventions
