Description Of Role
Are you a creative self-starter full of ideas? Able to juggle breaking news with longer pieces that delve into meaning and implication?
The successful applicant will work primarily covering breaking news and features in the Halifax bureau of The Canadian Press. We are looking for an excellent writer who can break news, help set the agenda, define trends, and see the big picture. The ideal candidate also has impeccable journalistic judgment and the ability to report with speed and accuracy. Experience in producing audio and video clips will be considered an asset. This position requires presence in the office and the ability to travel to pursue assignments in the Atlantic Canada region.
