This position provides clinical assistance to physicians in the treatment of cardiopulmonary disease. Performs physical assessment, arteriotomy, basic bedside pulmonary function testing and blood gas analysis, nasal and endotracheal suctioning, and basic life support maneuvers. Administers oxygen via various modalities and aerosolized pharmaceuticals. Performs chest physical therapy. Decontaminates various instrumentation. Initiates, monitors therapeutic procedures in accordance with a physician’s written order. Serves as an information source to all medical practitioners as related to technical applications.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
+ Position requires individuals to be a Licensed by the state of New York.
+ One (1) to two (2) years experience in a progressive institution and department is preferable.
+ Registry or certification eligible individual qualifies for this position.
