Overview

This contract Safety Analysis Engineer role performs deterministic nuclear safety analysis and transient/accident modeling (RELAP5-3D or similar) to support U.S. NRC licensing submittals. The engineer develops and documents system models, analyzes AOOs/DBEs/DBAs and licensing-basis events, supports FSAR-style reporting, and collaborates across engineering teams on methods development, V&V/benchmarking, and uncertainty/sensitivity studies.

Responsibilities


+ Perform deterministic safety analysis using RELAP5-3D code for the Natrium sodium fast reactor

+ Analyze design basis accidents (DBAs) and licensing basis events (LBEs) to support reactor licensing with US NRC
