Overview
The Safety Engineer is responsible for planning implementing and monitoring health safety and environmental systems on construction projects. The role ensures compliance with statutory regulations client requirements and company HSE policies while proactively identifying and mitigating risks associated with construction activities.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and implement Project HSE Plans, Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS).
- Ensure full compliance with UAE local authority regulations and project-specific safety requirements.
- Conduct regular site inspections, safety audits and risk assessments.
- Review and approve method statements, lifting plans and safe work procedures.
- Monitor high-risk construction activities such as working at height, excavation, lifting operations, hot works and confined spaces.
