Safety officer

Inuka is partnered with a global leader in energy solutions. They are seeking a Safety Officer to support their renewable energy construction sites in the Northern Cape. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the health, safety, and environmental compliance of site activities through regular oversight, training, and incident management.

Responsibilities: Conduct site inspections Attend monthly project meetings Provide on-site and off-site health and safety training aligned with statutory requirements Lead and support incident investigations, reporting, and corrective action planning Monitor site compliance with occupational health and safety legislation and project-specific requirements Advise on risk mitigation and ensure adherence to best practice safety standards Maintain documentation, logs, and records for audits and reporting Conduct ad hoc site visits in the event of incidents or other critical needs
