Position Summary

Reporting to the Manager, Occupational Safety, the Safety Specialist ensures a safe and healthy work environment by identifying hazards, investigating accidents, researching best practices and developing safety protocols. The specialist creates and implements safety programs, provides training, and ensures compliance with government health and safety regulations. Responsibilities include conducting audits and assessments, developing safety programs and educational materials, investigating incidents, providing consultation services, and collaborating with management and staff to foster a safety‑conscious culture.
