Responsibilities

• Evaluate teachers and support staff.
• Evaluate teaching methods and quality of instructions.
• Oversee the activities of teachers and support staff.
• Recruit and hire teachers and other staff.
• Direct or supervise the recruitment, training, evaluation and promotion of teachers.
• Co‑ordinate teaching activities.
• Organize and maintain procedures for the keeping of records.
• Review programs to ensure conformance to school board or provincial standards.
• Supervision of more than 20 people.

Qualifications

• Education: Master’s degree.
• Education/teaching of individuals in elementary special education programs.
• Provincial teacher’s certificate.
• Work experience with special needs students: Children with an intellectual disability.
• Area of specialization: School principal.
