Role purpose

The Security Risk Manager’s primary responsibility is the oversight of security and emergency management at the shopping centre where they are based. This encompasses ongoing enhancement of incident and emergency readiness, management and performance of the centre’s security guard provider and embedding Vicinity’s national security standards locally. The Security Risk Manager acts as a key bridge between the centre management team, security guarding providers and the National Security & Emergency team. The role may also be responsible for delivering secondary level support to other Vicinity shopping centres where there is no Security Risk Manager. Such support would be primarily focused on security and emergency management training for the centre management teams and a level of oversight for contract management of the security guard provider.
