What you’ll do:

• Develop theoretical models of laser cooling and manipulation of beams of metastable atoms.
• Work on general physics problems related to the production of cold intense beams of neutral atoms.
• Develop numerical models to validate theoretical models with an emphasis on realistic engineering constraints.
• Produce simulation tools to be used by other teams.
• Collaborate across teams on theoretical, simulation, and experimental projects.
