Your Opportunity We are seeking a Senior Hydrotechnical Engineer / Coastal Modeler to join our Markham office, with consideration for other Ontario locations. You will be part of the Water Resources Technical Team within Stantec’s Environmental Services Business Line.
Your Key Responsibilities
Lead and deliver coastal and hydrotechnical modelling assignments from scope definition through to final reporting, applying sound engineering judgement and working with minimal supervision.
Develop, calibrate, validate, and apply numerical hydrodynamic models (e.g., MIKE 3, MIKE 21, TELEMAC) to support coastal and river engineering work, including environmental impact assessments, remedial designs, and risk evaluations.
Define modelling approaches and technical work plans (assumptions, scenarios, boundary conditions, data needs, and acceptance criteria) and clearly communicate limitations and uncertainty to project teams and clients.
