Senior Mechanical Engineer - Telescope Systems & Site Ops

Big Science Sweden is searching for a Senior Mechanical Engineer for the CTAO‑South project at the La Silla Paranal Observatory in Chile. In this role, you will oversee the procurement, installation, and operation of mechanical systems, including power generators and handling equipment.

The position requires facilitating the installation of Cherenkov telescopes and assisting in maintenance operations. Candidates must possess a strong technical background in mechanical engineering, experience in site operations, and excellent problem-solving skills.
