Senior Power System Study Engineer
Location: Burnaby, BC or Calgary, AB.
Responsibilities
- Define the scope and budget for power system studies mandates.
- Perform/review power system studies:
- Substation grounding & lightning studies.
- Substation Bus studies.
- Electromagnetic Transient Studies.
- AC interference on pipelines and railway infrastructure from power lines and substation ground grids.
- Cable Sizing Studies.
- Prepare detailed engineering drawings.
- Must have excellent command over following software tools: CDEGS, ETAP, WinIGS, CYMCAP, ASPEN OneLiner, PSCAD.
- Planning, scheduling, estimation, and engineering coordination with other disciplines.
- Attend design review and constructability meetings with customers and represent system studies discipline.
