Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Process Safety Engineer to support complex energy and industrial projects across our Projects Canada portfolio. This role will contribute across the full project lifecycle, including conceptual studies, FEED, and detailed engineering. The successful candidate will provide technical safety leadership, ensuring that process safety, fire protection, and risk management principles are embedded into design and execution.
Responsibilities
Strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards such as NFPA, APIs etc.
Perform fire and hazard assessments of facilities.
Develop fire protection philosophies and safety in design criteria.
Firewater design- fire water demand, FW network including FW pumps and storage tanks.
Fundamental understanding of special fire protection systems- deluge/water spray, foam, clean agents etc.
Execute MOC jobs in tight timelines and budgets.
