Senior Software Engineer (Toronto)

About the Firm: Our client is a leader in the HR SAAS space, providing solutions to their client’s workforce to help improve employee satisfaction and retention. They are looking for a number of Senior Software Engineers to join their team on a full time and permanent role.

Responsibilities

• Applying creative problem‑solving that brings software designs to life.
• Designing, coding, unit testing and integrating new features and functionality.
• Working with Product Managers and the team to refine stories and break down work accordingly.
• Coach and Mentor junior and intermediate engineers in engineering best practices.
• Stay up to date on emerging technologies and corporate engineering guidelines, best practices, processes and tools, and be a mentor to the team members.
• Collaborate with other teams to proactively identify and manage dependencies.
• Hands‑on with our codebase and deeply involved in code reviews.
