Purpose of the Role
The Senior Structural Engineer will be responsible for leading structural engineering projects from concept through to completion, ensuring designs comply with relevant standards, safety regulations, and client requirements. The successful candidate will manage project teams, oversee technical deliverables, and provide mentorship to junior engineers and technicians.
Key Responsibilities
Structural Design & Engineering
- Prepare and review structural designs, calculations, drawings, and specifications
- Design reinforced concrete, steel, timber, and masonry structures
- Conduct structural assessments and feasibility studies
- Ensure compliance with SANS codes, regulations, and industry standards
- Review shop drawings and contractor submissions
- Manage multiple engineering projects simultaneously
