Senior System Engineer - Linux 
Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time 
Location: Zurich Area (Hybrid) 
We are collaborating with one of Switzerland's top universities to recruit a Senior System Engineer - Linux who is eager to contribute significantly within a dynamic and agile ICT environment. 
Your Role 
Manage and continuously enhance a resilient Linux server infrastructure, both on-premises and in Azure Cloud 
Ensure operating system security, and oversee selected database and web server components 
Design and maintain container platform infrastructure (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) integrated with CI/CD pipelines 
Administer logging systems (Elastic Stack) and assist with integration into security operations (SIEM) 
Develop and optimize monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Icinga) in partnership with ICT teams 
Lead automation efforts using SaltStack and various scripting languages
