Shift Manager

Job Introduction

We are currently recruiting for an experienced leader to join our Team at Tarmac’s Cement Plant in Dunbar, Scotland.

The Shift Manager plays a critical role in managing the process plant and people from the raw material stores through to despatch. Ensuring that work is carried out in a safe and efficient manner and that the plant is operated in compliance with safety, environmental, planning and Company guidelines.

While this role will primarily work on a day shift, as the plant runs a 24-hour operation over the year, the role will require a degree of flexibility to ensure effective running of the plant. This may involve occasional night working, weekends and Bank holidays and being on call when required. This role is key in ensuring that the plant runs with a consistent high level of safety, efficiency, and complies with all regulatory requirements.
