SOCIAL WORKER - 1.0 FTE TemporaryLearning Services – Special Education Applications from permanent employees from within the PSSP Bargaining Unit, other permanent Board employees, as well as external applicants will be considered. Reporting through the Psychology/Social Work Lead to the Superintendent of Learning Services – Special Education, the successful candidate will have specific responsibilities in Learning Services – Special Education. They are further accountable to the Principal of the Social Worker’s designated school(s). The purpose of the position is to inquire into cases of students in crisis, families in need of support and habitual student absenteeism and determine appropriate interventions based on social work assessment.The Waterloo Region District School Board (WRDSB) has an opening for 1.0 FTE Temporary Social Worker from September 2, 2026, to June 29, 2027.
