We are hiring a Software Engineer, Sustaining Engineering  for a remote role that will work across the Linux software stack, delivering upstream bug fixes and ensuring the reliability of Ubuntu and associated open source projects. 
Location This is a fully remote role with the team based across all time zones. 
Responsibilities Resolve complex customer problems related to Ubuntu, Kernel, Ceph, OpenStack, Kubernetes, and other open source software 
Maintain close working relationships with Canonical’s Field, Support, and product engineering teams 
Participate in upstream communities, developing bug fixes, backporting patches, and working with upstream for inclusion 
Review code produced by other engineers 
Demonstrate good judgement in technical methods and techniques 
Prioritize work and manage time effectively against priorities 
Participate in team discussions to improve processes, too...
