Specialist Geophysicist

Overall Purpose of the Job

• Perform 2D and 3D seismic interpretation and mapping to identify prospects suitable for exploration and appraisal, in line with the department's annual plan and as directed by the Team Lead or Exploration Manager.
• Ensure the planning, execution, and monitoring of operated and non-operated G&G activities, and provide support for new business evaluations as required.
• Apply advanced seismic analysis techniques (e.g., inversion, AVO) to predict lithologies and fluid content from available seismic data.

Principal Accountabilities

• Support the regional understanding of petroleum systems across diverse geological settings providing geophysical data interpretation.
• Identify new plays and prospects by interpreting geophysical data using advanced techniques.
