Overview We are currently looking for a
Specialist Reactor Physicist
to be part of our team in the Fuel and Physics department supporting the design of new nuclear power plants and the operation, refurbishment, or waste management and decommissioning of existing CANDU nuclear power plants.
Your role
Perform and/or supervise the following calculations: Finite-reactor-core calculations, Kinetics calculations, Transport calculations, Advanced-fuel-cycle calculations, Monte Carlo calculations.
Prepare inputs, run reactor physics computer codes.
Develop, adapt and modify FORTRAN computer codes as required for specific applications (e.g., to implement new methods or perform new types of calculations for both diffusion and transport calculations).
Develop codes and methodologies and perform reactor physics analyses to support design and commercial activities.
Document analyses in technical notes and reports, and present r...
