**Job Summary and Qualifications**
**The Specimen Processing Coordinator acts as a receptionist to outpatients and physicians coming into the department. Relieves the Med Techs of clerical duties such as faxing, mailing reports, getting verbal orders signed, updating outdated standing orders, giving results to physician offices, etc. Oversees reference library. Courier, send outs, pathology samples, and phlebotomy staff. Provides administrative assistance to Lab Supervisor, Leads, Pathologist, and Laboratory Director.
