Job Description
nsight Global is looking for a Senior Engineer, Process Safety Lead to drive process safety programs within a high-hazard battery manufacturing environment. On a daily basis, this individual will lead and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) programs, ensuring compliance with OSHA, EPA, and NFPA standards while maintaining safety documentation, SOPs, and engineering controls tied to production hazards. They will partner cross-functionally with engineering, maintenance, and operations teams to evaluate high-risk equipment, define inspection and preventative maintenance standards, and support safe process design.
This role will heavily focus on risk identification and mitigation—facilitating analyses such as PHA, LOPA, and DHA for both existing operations and new capital projects, while providing technical guidance on chemical hazards like NMP exposure, thermal runaway, and electrolyte handling.
