About The Team And The Role

The mission of the Developer Ecosystem team is to be the platform of choice for global commerce powered by a best‑in‑class public API portfolio and a world‑class developer experience. APIs are the foundation of modern technology companies. This role is vital to developing eBay’s external developer platform, which supports over $25B in Gross Merchandise Sold and $3B in Gross Merchandise Bought every year. We support all public APIs and work alongside external developers, partners, and internal teams. Our team is part of the Global Technology organization at eBay and reports to the Chief Technology Officer. We build some APIs ourselves and assist other teams in their API development. We provide governance and oversight of all public interfaces. We create all API documentation and deliver technical support to external developers.
