Staff API Trading Engineer Location: London (preferred) or Remote EU. Salary: Competitive (market‑aligned by location, strong total comp) 
We’re partnering with a leading trading firm to hire a Senior API Trading Engineer to own and build out their API trading capability from the ground up. This is a high‑impact hire with a clear path to becoming a team lead. You’ll report directly to the Head of Engineering (who reports to the CTO) and work closely with teams handling OTC, credit and loans, ensuring the API trading stack meets – and exceeds – top‑tier competitor standards. 
What you’ll do Design, build and evolve high‑performance public trading APIs (REST, WebSocket, FIX is a big plus) 
Own API documentation: clear, developer‑friendly specifications and guides 
Collaborate with trading, engineering and OTC teams to align API features with business needs
