Staff Engineer, Data & Analytics
Location
Ottawa and Toronto, Canada – Hybrid. Remote available for Canadian locations.
Responsibilities
- Modernise legacy systems into a cloud‑native, modern data stack using Informatica, Airflow, Postgres, Snowflake, dbt, BigQuery, Looker, and other modern technologies.
- Build innovative, scalable, and reliable data products to support corporate strategy.
- Design and maintain batch and streaming pipelines for analytics, logging, and application integration.
- Implement rigorous data validation, cleansing, and error‑handling mechanisms.
- Partner with business stakeholders across units to design and deliver tailored data solutions.
- Collaborate with FinOps, Data Architecture, Data Governance, and Cloud Engineering teams to meet organizational needs.
- Troubleshoot complex data engineering challenges focused on scalability and reliability.
