Statutory Inspector

Job Purpose:

Carrying out LOLER and PUWER inspections on Mechanical and Hydraulic Ground Support Equipment (GSE) at Heathrow Airport, working within a team of inspectors to ensure our client British Airways is compliant. The equipment is varied and located over a large area, so the role will involve lots of travel around the engineering sites to locate equipment requiring inspection. This role plays a critical part in ensuring British Airways can carry out its engineering work safely and effectively.

About the role

What you'll do:

Mechanical bias Engineering qualification, minimum of NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) but ideally HNC.

Proven hands-on experience in maintaining, repairing and servicing of mechanical equipment (vehicles/GSE/lifting equipment)

Experience in Inspecting would be highly advantageous, as would holding any LEEA certificates.

Good understanding of LOLER and PUWER regulations.
