Stream Engineer

Tapmad is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Streaming Engineer to manage our video streaming workflows from end to end, ensuring high-quality, reliable, and scalable streaming experiences across platforms through efficient system management and cross-functional collaboration.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and manage live streams using protocols such as SRT, RTMP, HLS, or MPEG‑TS (UDP).
• Operate encoding/transcoding software and hardware (e.g., FFmpeg, OBS, vMix, Wirecast, or Ateme).
• Configure and monitor bitrates, resolution, audio tracks, and adaptive streaming presets.
• Distribute streams via CDN (e.g., Cloudflare, Akamai, AWS CloudFront).
• Troubleshoot latency, sync, packet loss, buffering, or audio/video issues during live events.
• Coordinate with production, content, and network teams pre and post-stream.
• Maintain logs and generate performance and error reports after each event.
