Structural Engineer

Compass Minerals, a leading global provider of essential minerals, is hiring a Structural Engineer to join the Engineering team at our Underground Salt Mine in Goderich, Ontario.

Position requires relocation to Goderich, Ontario. Relocation assistance is provided for qualified candidates.

How you will contribute

• Perform calculations and designs for structures such as conveyor beltline systems, transfer towers, crusher and screen supports, material transfer/storage systems, and foundations.
• Evaluate existing steel, concrete, wood, and masonry structures to determine feasible modifications for new or additional equipment while ensuring safety and structural integrity.
• Assess surface and underground infrastructure to determine repairs or replacements and recommend remediation programs.
• Create civil/structural designs that comply with applicable codes and standards.
