Job Description
AECOM is seeking multiple Summer Ecology Interns to support our Environmental and Ecological Services team in Northern Ontario. These roles are on‑site, locally based positions and successful candidates are expected to live in or near Dryden, Red Lake, Thunder Bay, or Winnipeg for the duration of the internship. Interns will conduct field work from their home location and surrounding project areas while reporting remotely to AECOM project teams and supervisors based in the North Bay or Sudbury offices.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with ecological field work, which may include:
- Vegetation and habitat assessments
- Wildlife surveys (birds, amphibians, mammals, insects)
- Wetland and watercourse evaluations
- Species at Risk surveys (under appropriate supervision)
